      WW-domain containing oxidoreductase.

WW-domains are parts of proteins that can bind to other proteins if they have lots of proline in them. WWOX has two WW-domains in it.

An oxidoreductase is a type of protein that can change hydroxy (C-O-H) groups into aldehyde or ketone groups (C=O). WWOX has one of these.

It seems that WWOX will use these to bind to other proteins (which has been shown to happen) and then it changes the chemical structure of these proteins (which is predicted but not been shown to occur)
