Just (belatedly) making the final additions to my profile.
I’m a bit concerned about managing my workload whilst making time for I’m a Scientist (hence why I am still working at 1.30am)! But definitely looking forward to it.
Just a quick note to say that I won’t be able to pop along to the staffroom chat this afternoon as I am teaching some undergraduate students at that time. See you all on Monday!
There seem to be so many things that had to happen for life to exist that sometimes it seems unlikely to could happen many times, but the Universe is so large that I think there must be other life out there. Maybe not like us, but certainly alien bacteria or yeast like organisms.
And if you agree with the parallel universe theory from quantum mechanics then there has to be intelligent life in other Universes.
Hi Sophie, I am at a Science meeting called the American College of Rheumatism. So there are lots of scientists here that are researching Arthritis. It’s a great way to meet people and talk about work and what are the best experiments to do. It does mean there is a time difference though, so I’m up really late and answering questions much later than other people š

Hi Elliot, good question! Ask it through the yellow ASK button at the top of the screen and the scientists will answer it for you there. Rosie.

Sorry I didn’t make the staffroom chat either! I was somewhere over the Atlantic, but have arrived safely in Washington DC and am ready to go!
